Mu Metals Foil consists of around Nickel (77–80%), Iron (15%), Copper (5%), and Molybdenum (2–4%). This special combination provides it with very high magnetic permeability and low coercivity, perfect for low-frequency magnetic field shielding. The foil possesses tensile strength of approximately 500 MPa, yield strength of around 250 MPa, and elongation ≥30%. With a density of 8.7 g/cm³ and a Curie temperature of around 450°C, Mu Metal is stable in moderate thermal conditions. Its soft magnetic properties and high saturation flux density make it ideal for shaping into shields, enclosures, or lamination layers.
