Rene 41 Foil consists of about 54% nickel, 19% chromium, 11% cobalt, 10% molybdenum, 3.1% titanium, 1.5% aluminum, with minor quantities of carbon (≤0.09%) and boron (≤0.01%). This alloy provides tensile strength of approximately 1380 MPa and yield strength of approximately 1030 MPa, elongating 10–15%. It is physically dense at 8.36 g/cm³ and maintains mechanical stability at temperatures to 870°C. Its fine-grained microstructure and thermal fatigue, creep, and oxidation resistance lend themselves to applications in the form of foil that involve extreme thinness, precision, and high-performance levels when subjected to stress and heat.
