Super Duplex Steel Pipes usually contain Chromium (24–26%), Nickel (6–8%), Molybdenum (3–5%), Nitrogen (0.2–0.3%), and Iron (balance), with traces of elements such as Manganese (≤1.2%), Silicon (≤0.8%), and Carbon (≤0.03%). These pipes possess very good mechanical properties with a tensile strength of 750–900 MPa, yield strength of about 550 MPa, and elongation of 25–30%. They have a density of around 7.8 g/cm³ and a melting point of 1350–1450°C. Super Duplex Steel possesses excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, particularly in environments rich in chloride, for which they are perfectly suited to aggressive service conditions.
