AWS Class ERNiCrMo-3 SAW and Flux Welding Wire consists of about 58–63% Nickel (Ni), 20–23% Chromium (Cr), 8–10% Molybdenum (Mo), 3–4% Niobium + Tantalum (Nb+Ta), and ≤5% Iron (Fe), with minor amounts of Manganese (≤1%), Silicon (≤0.5%), and Carbon (≤0.05%). Such a composition exhibits excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. It provides tensile strength of 760–850 MPa, yield strength of approximately 550 MPa, and elongation of 25–35%. Having a density of approximately 8.44 g/cm³ and melting range more than 1300°C, this wire provides tough, ductile, and corrosion-resistant welds in rigorous service conditions.
