Jyoti Steels is a reputable producer and distributor of Invar Sheet and Plates from Mumbai, India. It is well-known for delivering precision-engineered alloy solutions. Jyoti Steels provides Invar products that are characterized by very low thermal expansion and outstanding dimensional stability. These plates and sheets find extensive application in processes where low expansion under temperature fluctuation is crucial. With emphasis on quality, performance, and prompt delivery, Jyoti Steels caters to the main industries of aerospace, cryogenics, electronics, and scientific instrumentation in India and overseas markets.
Invar Sheets and Plates contain mostly Iron (63.5%) and Nickel (36%) with a small percentage of Manganese (≤0.5%), Silicon (≤0.3%), Carbon (≤0.05%), and Chromium (≤0.25%). This special alloy offers an ultra-low thermal expansion coefficient (~1.2 × 10⁻⁶/°C between 20°C and 100°C). The tensile strength is approximately 490 MPa, yield strength is 240 MPa, and elongation ≥35%. This makes the alloy both strong and ductile. It has a density of 8.1 g/cm³ and excellent dimension stability, which makes Invar suitable for precision engineering and temperature-critical applications.

Invar Sheets and Plates find extensive applications in industries involving superior dimensional stability in changing thermal conditions. It finds application in satellite parts, guidance systems, and tooling in aerospace applications. In cryogenic storage containers and liquefied gas cylinders, Invar plays a vital role because it expands very minimally. It finds application as shadow masks, measuring instruments, and clock pendulums in electronics and precision engineering. The alloy is also preferred in scientific devices, composite manufacturing molds, and bimetallic thermostats. The consistent behavior under temperature changes makes the alloy a must for high-precision applications.
