Nickel Alloy 201 Wire consists mainly of Nickel (99.0% min) with small amounts of Iron (0.4%), Manganese (0.35%), Silicon (0.35%), Copper (0.25%), Carbon (0.02%), and Sulfur (0.01%). This low-carbon variant of Nickel 200 is characterized by tensile strength of about 403 MPa, yield strength of 103 MPa, and elongation of 45%. It is characterized physically by density of 8.89 g/cm³ and melting point of 1446°C. It has good electrical and thermal conductivity, high resistance to reducing chemicals, and better ductility and is thus best suited for high-temperature and high-purity conditions.
