Hastelloy N Pipes are mainly made of Nickel (71–74%), Molybdenum (16–18%), Iron (4–6%), Chromium (6–8%), and trace substances such as Silicon (0.2–1%), Carbon (max 0.05%), and Manganese (max 0.5%). The alloy has remarkable mechanical properties with a tensile strength of about 690 MPa, yield strength of about 275 MPa, and elongation of about 35%. Physical properties are a density of 9.2 g/cm³ and melting range of 1330°C to 1355°C. Hastelloy N has excellent resistance to high-temperature oxidation, fluoride salt corrosion, and radiation-induced embrittlement, and it is well suited for harsh operating conditions.
