Hastelloy C22 Wire has better chemical, mechanical, and physical properties suitable for demanding and corrosive environments. The chemical composition of the wire consists of Nickel ~56%, Chromium 20–22.5%, Molybdenum 12.5–14.5%, Iron 2–6%, with traces of Tungsten 2.5–3.5%, Cobalt <2.5%, and Carbon <0.015%. It provides a tensile strength of 690 MPa (min), yield strength of 283 MPa (min), and elongation of 45%. Being 8.69 g/cm³ in density and having a melting point near 1399°C, Hastelloy C22 Wire resists pitting, crevice corrosion, as well as stress corrosion cracking perfectly, even under very aggressive chemical environments.
