Hastelloy Wire, especially C22 grade, is generally made of approximately 56% Nickel, 20–22.5% Chromium, 12.5–14.5% Molybdenum, 2–6% Iron, and 2.5–3.5% Tungsten. Trace materials consist of Cobalt (upto 2.5%) and Manganese (upto 0.5%). It has a tensile strength of approximately 690 MPa, a yield strength of 283 MPa, and elongation of around 45%. With a specific gravity of 8.69 g/cm³ and a melting point of between 1350°C and 1400°C, Hastelloy wire supports structural integrity and resistance to corrosion in oxidizing and reducing atmospheres, even at high mechanical stress and heat conditions.
