Nimonic 80A Sheets and Plates consist of Nickel (69–72%), Chromium (18–21%), Titanium (1.8–2.7%), and Aluminum (1.0–1.8%), with impurities of Iron, Cobalt, and Carbon (≤0.1%). These plates have very good mechanical properties such as tensile strength of 950–1050 MPa, yield strength of 550–650 MPa, and elongation of approximately 20%. Physical properties are a density of 8.2 g/cm³ and a melting range of 1320–1380°C. Nimonic 80A has superior resistance to oxidation, creep, and fatigue at elevated temperatures and is therefore used in components subjected to long-term thermal and mechanical stress.
