Super Duplex Steel Sheets and Plates are generally made up of 24–26% chromium, 6–8% nickel, 3–5% molybdenum, 0.2–0.3% nitrogen, and less than 0.03% carbon with iron as the base and trace amounts of manganese and silicon. The composition has excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. They also possess high mechanical strength, where tensile strength is approximately 800 MPa, yield strength is 550 MPa, and elongation is about 25%. In terms of physical properties, such plates have a density of 7.8 g/cm³ and possess good thermal conductivity and retain performance across a wide spectrum of temperatures and harsh chemical conditions.
