AWS Class ECuNi Coated Electrodes are mainly copper and nickel in different proportions, usually 70% copper and 30% nickel. They are coated with a specific flux to improve weldability and corrosion resistance, particularly in seawater. These electrodes have a tensile strength of approximately 350 MPa, a yield strength of 160 MPa, and an elongation of 25-30%. They possess good thermal conductivity and high galvanic corrosion resistance. The flux coating provides stable arc flow, low spatter, and excellent bead formation during welding, even in severe marine and offshore conditions.
