AWS Class ENiCrFe-3 Coated Electrodes usually consist of around 65–70% Nickel (Ni), 20–23% Chromium (Cr), 2.5–3.5% Iron (Fe), with traces of Manganese (Mn), Silicon (Si), and Carbon (C). These electrodes provide tensile strength of about 620 MPa, yield strength of approximately 450 MPa, and elongation to 30%. They are highly oxidizing and corrosion-resistant, especially in reducing and oxidizing conditions. They possess good physical properties such as high thermal stability and conductivity, hence suitable for service in high temperatures. They have a stable arc, very little spatter, and smooth removal of slag for cleaner welds due to the special coating.
