AWS Class ENiCrMo-3 Electrodes with Coatings typically have 58–63% Nickel (Ni), 20–23% Chromium (Cr), 8–10% Molybdenum (Mo), 3–4% Niobium + Tantalum (Nb+Ta), and not more than 5% Iron (Fe). Trace elements are Manganese (≤1%), Silicon (≤0.5%), and Carbon (≤0.05%). These electrodes have good tensile strength (approximately 760–850 MPa), yield strength of about 550 MPa, and elongation of 25–35%. They are of about 8.44 g/cm³ density and with a melting point over 1300°C. ENiCrMo-3 performs well under conditions that may lead to pitting, stress corrosion cracking, and oxidation, and thus finds application in cryogenic as well as high-temperature service.

AWS Class ENiCrMo-3 Coated Electrodes find broad application in the welding of Inconel 625 and comparable high-performance nickel alloys in harsh service conditions. These electrodes are used in pressure vessels, heat exchangers, chemical reactors, offshore platforms, and flue gas desulfurization plants.
