AWS Class ENiCrMo-4 Electrodes coated usually have 55–63% Nickel (Ni), 20–24% Chromium (Cr), 8–10% Molybdenum (Mo), 2–4% Iron (Fe), and traces of Manganese (Mn ≤1%), Silicon (Si ≤0.5%), and Carbon (C ≤0.05%). These electrodes have a tensile strength of about 760–800 MPa, yield strength of nearly 550 MPa, and elongation of 30–35%. Having a melting point in excess of 1300°C and a density of nearly 8.4 g/cm³, they are suitable for operation in oxidizing and reducing atmospheres. Their good metallurgical stability provides weld quality, crack resistance, and durability in harsh thermal and chemical exposure.

AWS Class ENiCrMo-4 Coated Electrodes are extensively employed in industries where maximum corrosion resistance and high mechanical strength are needed. These encompass the making and maintenance of pressure vessels, piping systems, reactors, and heat exchangers in chemical, petrochemical, and marine industries. They are also appropriate for superalloys such as Hastelloy C-276 and similar grades. Their pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking resistance in acidic and chloride environments qualifies them for offshore oil rigs, flue gas desulfurization systems, and high-temperature power plant equipment. These electrodes provide structural stability under worst operating conditions.
