AWS Class ENiCu-7 Coated Electrodes are mainly composed of Nickel (Ni 65–70%) and Copper (Cu 29–33%) with minor levels of Iron (Fe ≤2.5%), Manganese (Mn ≤2.5%), and Carbon (C ≤0.15%). These electrodes have a tensile strength of about 480–550 MPa and yield strength of 340 MPa, elongation of about 25–35%. Density is around 8.9 g/cm³ and melting point between 1300–1350°C. ENiCu-7 offers very good weldability, particularly for dissimilar metal joints, and maintains strength in sub-zero to moderately high temperatures. Their corrosion resistance in saltwater and reducing acids is of particular importance in severe service conditions.
