Duplex Steel Threaded Rods are composed of approximately 22% Chromium, 5–6.5% Nickel, 3–3.5% Molybdenum, 0.14–0.2% Nitrogen, along with Manganese (≤2%), Silicon (≤1%), and Carbon (≤0.03%). These rods provide good mechanical properties, such as tensile strength between 620–880 MPa and a yield strength of approximately 450 MPa. They have a density of roughly 7.8 g/cm³ and a melting point of approximately 1350°C. The duplex microstructure provides a medium ratio of ferritic and austenitic phases, providing increased resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in aggressive environments.
