The alloy consists of 97.5% tantalum and 2.5% tungsten, trace elements like oxygen ≤ 0.015%, nitrogen ≤ 0.01%, carbon ≤ 0.01%, and hydrogen ≤ 0.0015%. Its density is 16.6 g/cm³, melting point is approximately 3017°C, tensile strength is approximately 450 MPa, and yield strength is around 400 MPa. Its superior formability, heat conductivity, and resistance to harsh chemicals render it suitable for extreme service conditions.
