Tantalum R05400 Sheets and Plates consist of unalloyed tantalum with a minimum purity of 99.9%. Typical chemical composition consists of Tantalum (Ta) ≥ 99.9%, Oxygen ≤ 0.015%, Nitrogen ≤ 0.01%, Hydrogen ≤ 0.0015%, Carbon ≤ 0.01%, and Niobium ≤ 0.1%. These plates and sheets have good mechanical properties like tensile strength of 207 to 750 MPa and elongation of up to 30%. Physical properties are a high melting point of 3017°C, density of 16.65 g/cm³, and good resistance to corrosion, particularly against acids like hydrochloric and sulfuric acid, and hence they are best suited for severe environments.
