Monel 400 Coils are essentially made up of Nickel (Ni) 63–70% and Copper (Cu) 28–34%, with small additions of Iron (Fe) up to 2.5%), Manganese (Mn) ≤2%), Silicon (Si) ≤0.5%), and Carbon (C) ≤0.3%). These coils have tensile strength of 480–620 MPa, yield strength of about 170 MPa, and elongation of 30–40%. Density is around 8.8 g/cm³, and the melting point is between 1300°C and 1350°C. Monel 400 exhibits superior resistance to caustic solutions, hydrofluoric acid, and seawater, and hence is suitable for corrosive and high-performance applications.
