Monel Flanges, generally produced using Monel 400, consist of Nickel (Ni) 63–70% and Copper (Cu) 28–34%, accompanied by trace amounts of Iron (Fe) up to 2.5%), Manganese (Mn) ≤2%), Silicon (Si) ≤0.5%), and Carbon (C) ≤0.3%). These flanges provide tensile strength of 480–620 MPa, yield strength of approximately 170 MPa, and elongation ranging from 30–40%, providing excellent toughness and ductility. The density is roughly 8.8 g/cm³, while the melting point is between 1300–1350°C. Monel flanges demonstrate excellent resistance against seawater, hydrofluoric acid, as well as alkaline solutions at high temperatures and pressures.
