Monel Bars are mostly composed of Nickel (63-70%) and Copper (20-29%), with minor quantities of Iron (2.0-2.5%), Manganese (up to 2%), Carbon (max 0.3%), and Silicon (up to 1.5%). Mechanically, they have a tensile strength of approximately 550 MPa, yield strength of 240 MPa, and elongation of 30%. Physically, Monel is 8.8 g/cm³ in density and has a melting range of 1300-1350°C. The bars are noted for their good corrosion resistance in seawater and acidic conditions and good mechanical properties at sub-zero and elevated temperatures.
