Super Duplex Steel Forgings consist mainly of Chromium (24–26%), Nickel (6–8%), Molybdenum (3–5%), Nitrogen (0.2–0.3%), and minor Carbon (≤0.03%), with Iron as base and minute amounts of Manganese and Silicon. The forgings have good mechanical properties, with a tensile strength of 800–900 MPa, yield strength above 550 MPa, and elongation of about 25%. They have high toughness, good fatigue life, and low thermal expansion. Having a density of 7.8 g/cm³ and higher resistance to stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion, Super Duplex forgings are perfectly suited for applications in challenging industrial environments.
