Duplex Steel 2205 Wire consists of around 22.0–23.0% Chromium, 4.5–6.5% Nickel, 3.0–3.5% Molybdenum, ≤2.0% Manganese, and 0.14–0.20% Nitrogen. Balanced content provides high corrosion resistance, particularly in marine and chloride conditions. Mechanically, it offers a tensile strength of approximately 620 MPa and a yield strength of 450 MPa with elongation of 25%. The density of the wire is 7.8 g/cm³ and its melting point ranges from 1350°C to 1450°C. Its duplex microstructure provides resistance to stress corrosion cracking, which qualifies it for critical and high-pressure applications.
