The pipes provide tensile strength ranging from 480–620 MPa, yield strength of approximately 170 MPa, and elongation 30–40%. Monel 400 is 8.8 g/cm³ dense and has a melting range of 1300–1350°C, and it offers fine mechanical properties at a broad range of temperatures. It offers fine resistance to seawater, acids, and alkalis and finds application in severely corrosive use.
