Monel 400 Wire consists of Nickel (Ni) 63–70%, Copper (Cu) 28–34%), with minute amounts of Iron (Fe) up to 2.5%), Manganese (Mn) ≤2%), Silicon (Si) ≤0.5%), and Carbon (C) ≤0.3%). It provides tensile strength of 480–620 MPa, yield strength about 170 MPa, and elongation of 30–40%, providing superior flexibility and strength. Its density is 8.8 g/cm³, and it melts between 1300–1350°C. The wire is highly resistant to corrosion in saltwater, acids, and caustic solutions and is thus suitable for rigorous industrial and electrical uses.
