Titanium Screws, usually of Grade 2 or Grade 5 titanium, have Ti ~90%, Al 6%, V 4%, Fe <0.3%, O <0.2%, C <0.08%. They provide tensile strength of ~895 MPa (Grade 5), yield strength of ~828 MPa, and elongation of ~10–15%. They have a density of 4.43 g/cm³ and are approximately 45% lighter than steel. Titanium has a melting point of ~1660°C and good resistance to fatigue and corrosion. It has low thermal conductivity (~6.7 W/m·K) and is non-magnetic, which makes it well-suited for demanding structural and biomedical applications.
