Titanium Plates and Sheets are generally produced from commercially pure grades such as Grade 2 (99.2% ti) or alloy grades such as Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V), which has 90% titanium, 6% aluminum, and 4% vanadium. Grade 2 provides good ductility and reasonable strength (~344 MPa), whereas Grade 5 provides very high tensile strength (~895 MPa). Both grades are characterized by very low density, 4.43 g/cm³, and superior corrosion resistance. Their melting point is near 1,668°C. These titanium products have a very low modulus of elasticity (~105 GPa) and superior biocompatibility and are suitable for a wide variety of structural as well as precision applications.
