Titanium Grade 5 Tubing (Ti-6Al-4V) has around Titanium 90%, Aluminum 6%, Vanadium 4%, Fe <0.3%, O <0.2%, C <0.08%. The alloy offers tensile strength up to 895 MPa, yield strength of about 828 MPa, and elongation of 10–15%, providing excellent mechanical performance. The density is around 4.43 g/cm³, gaining considerable weight reduction compared to steel. Titanium Gr 5 possesses a melting point of ~1660°C, thermal conductivity of ~6.7 W/m·K, and does not have any magnetic, bio-incompatible, or fatigue-resistance corrosion resistivity. The combination of its characteristics makes it most suitable for applications involving high performance, pressure, and corrosion.
