Inconel 601 Tubing is made up of mostly Nickel (58-63%), Chromium (21-25%), Iron (balance), Aluminum (1-1.7%), and traces of Carbon, Manganese, and Silicon. It has very good mechanical properties, with tensile strength of approximately 550 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of 30%. Its physical properties are a density of 8.11 g/cm³ and a melting range of 1320–1370°C. The alloy has very good oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures, as well as good creep and stress rupture strength, and is thus dependable under severe thermal and mechanical stress conditions.
