Inconel 617 Stud Bolts consist mostly of Nickel (44.5–60%), Chromium (20–24%), Cobalt (10–15%), and Molybdenum (8–10%), with small additions of Aluminum (0.8–1.5%), Carbon (max 0.05%), Iron, and Silicon. These bolts have very good mechanical properties such as tensile strength of around 540 MPa, yield strength of around 270 MPa, and elongation of 30%. They have a density of 8.36 g/cm³ and a melting range of 1330–1380°C. Inconel 617 is very resistant to oxidation, carburization, and creep and is very suitable for use over long periods in high-temperature and chemically aggressive environments.
