Copper Tungsten 80/20 Rods contain about 80% Tungsten and 20% Copper by weight. This ratio is a mix of tungsten’s high melting point and strength along with copper’s high thermal and electrical conductivity. These rods have a density of about 15.3 g/cm³ and a melting point above 3000°C due to the content of tungsten. Mechanically, they provide a tensile strength of approximately 700–900 MPa and high hardness (approximately 200–250 HB). They possess low thermal expansion, high resistance to arcs, and good wear resistance, which qualifies them for severe thermal and electrical applications.
