Manganese Bronze Bars usually have Copper (58–63%), Zinc (22–28%), Lead (0.5–2%), Iron (2.5–4%), Manganese (1–3.5%), and minor content of Aluminum and Tin. The result is a tough and corrosion-resistant alloy. The mechanical properties are a tensile strength of 415–655 MPa and a yield strength of approximately 275 MPa, with elongation of 10–20%, depending on the temper. Physically, the alloy is of density about 8.4 g/cm³ and possesses good thermal conductivity. Manganese bronze also possesses excellent resistance to saltwater corrosion and high load-bearing capacity, which makes it ideal for high-performance applications.
