They have excellent mechanical properties with tensile strength of 690 MPa, yield strength of 275 MPa, and 30% elongation. Their physical characteristics consist of a density of 8.14 g/cm³ and a melting point of 1370–1400°C, and thus are well suited to withstand oxidation, pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking in acidic and marine environments.
