A286 Sheets and Plates are iron-based superalloys with a content of about 50.5–52% Iron (Fe), 24–27% Nickel (Ni), 13.5–16% Chromium (Cr), 1.0–2.5% Titanium (Ti), 0.75–1.5% Molybdenum (Mo), and trace amounts of Vanadium, Manganese, and Carbon. A286 plates provide tensile strength of about 960 MPa, yield strength of 550–690 MPa, and elongation of 25–30%. A286 has a density of 7.93 g/cm³ and superior oxidation resistance up to 815°C. It has good creep resistance and dimensional stability at elevated temperatures, and it is well suited for both cryogenic and high-temperature service in harsh environments.
