AWS Class ERNi-1 MIG and TIG Filler Welding Rod and Wire mainly contain Nickel (Ni ≥ 99.6%), with minute proportions of Iron ≤ 0.4%, Carbon ≤ 0.15%, Manganese ≤ 0.35%, Copper ≤ 0.25%, and Sulfur ≤ 0.01%. Its high-purity chemistry provides excellent ductility and corrosion resistance. Some of its mechanical properties are around 415 MPa tensile strength, yield strength of around 105 MPa, and elongation of around 30%. It also has a melting point of about 1446°C and density of about 8.89 g/cm³. It shows good electrical and thermal conductivity, and thus can be used for high-performance welding and critical welding applications.
