ERNiFeCr-2 MIG and TIG Filler Welding Wire and Rod find application mainly for welding Incoloy® 825 and other corrosion-resistant alloys in environments subjected to severe acids and oxidizers. Typical applications include chemical processing equipment, sulfuric acid tanks, heat exchangers, scrubbers for flue gases, and nuclear waste reprocessing equipment. These filler metals have superior resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking and are therefore best suited to severe service conditions. They are also used in marine and offshore applications, along with pollution control systems, due to their enhanced weld integrity and resistance to high–temperature oxidation and chloride–induced corrosion.
