Copper Nickel 70/30 Nuts contain 70% copper and 30% nickel with small additions of iron (up to 0.4%) and manganese (up to 1%) to improve strength and corrosion resistance. The nuts have very good mechanical properties with tensile strength of 520 MPa, yield strength of 150 MPa, and elongation of 30%. The “mechanical properties” include a density of 8.94 g/cm³, melting point of 1170°C, and thermal conductivity of 29 W/m·K. This set of properties makes the nuts reliable to function in corrosive and high-stress applications, particularly in seawater and chemical exposure.
