Copper Nickel Washers are generally manufactured from 90/10 (90% Copper, 10% Nickel) or 70/30 (70% Copper, 30% Nickel) alloys. These alloys also include Iron (1.5–2.5%) and Manganese (0.5–1.0%) for increased strength and corrosion resistance. They provide tensile strength of 275–500 MPa, yield strength of 105–150 MPa, and elongation of 30%–45%. The density of the washers is around 8.9 g/cm³, and their melting point is between 1170°C and 1240°C. Such physical and mechanical properties render Copper Nickel Washers extremely resistant, particularly in marine and chemically corrosive environments.
