Copper Nickel Threaded Rods are generally fabricated from Copper Nickel 70/30 or 90/10 alloys. The 70/30 grade is composed of around 70% copper, 30% nickel, with trace amounts of iron (0.4–0.6%) and manganese (0.5–1.0%) to provide additional strength and corrosion resistance. The rods have very good mechanical properties with a tensile strength of 350–500 MPa, yield strength of about 150 MPa, and elongation of 30–40%. Their physical characteristics are a density of 8.9 g/cm³, melting point of about 1170–1240°C, and thermal conductivity of 29 W/m·K, which qualify them for extreme industrial and marine applications.
