Copper Nickel Tube Fittings are generally manufactured from Cu-Ni 90/10 (90% Copper, 10% Nickel) or 70/30 (70% Copper, 30% Nickel) alloys. They also have minute additions of Iron (maximum 1.5%) and Manganese (maximum 1.0%) to improve strength and resistance to corrosion. These fittings provide a tensile strength of 275–550 MPa, yield strength of 100–250 MPa, and elongation of 30–40%. The density is approximately 8.9 g/cm³, and the melting point is between 1100°C and 1240°C. They demonstrate outstanding resistance against seawater corrosion, biofouling, and erosion and possess good thermal conductivity and medium electrical conductivity and are extremely dependable in harsh conditions.
