Copper Nickel Stud Bolts are generally made in grades like 90/10 (90% Copper, 10% Nickel) and 70/30 (70% Copper, 30% Nickel). These alloys also include trace amounts of Iron (upto 1.5%) and Manganese (upto 1.0%) to provide mechanical strength and resistance to corrosion. These fasteners usually exhibit a tensile strength of 275–550 MPa and yield strength of 100–250 MPa, with elongation 30–40%. They possess a density of about 8.9 g/cm³ and melting point between 1100°C and 1240°C. Copper Nickel stud bolts have superior resistance to seawater, erosion, and biofouling, in addition to favorable thermal conductivity.
