Copper Nickel 90/10 Stud Bolts consist of 90% Copper and 10% Nickel with minor additions of Iron (1.5%) and Manganese (1.0%) for greater strength and resistance to corrosion. The bolts have a tensile strength between 275–400 MPa and yield strength between 100–150 MPa, with elongation of 30–40%. They have a density of about 8.9 g/cm³ and a melting point ranging from 1100°C to 1145°C. With outstanding resistance to seawater erosion, corrosion, and biofouling, Cu-Ni 90/10 stud bolts also exhibit satisfactory thermal conductivity and weldability and are therefore apt for high-performance industrial and marine systems.
