Copper Nickel Fittings are generally produced in two grades: Cu-Ni 90/10 (90% Copper, 10% Nickel) and Cu-Ni 70/30 (70% Copper, 30% Nickel). Both grades include minute additions of Iron (1.5–2%) and Manganese (up to 1%) to enhance strength and corrosion resistance. Mechanically, they provide tensile strength ranging from 350–500 MPa, yield strength of 100–150 MPa, and elongation of up to 30%. They are physically characterized by a density of about 8.9 g/cm³, a melting point of about 1170°C, and good thermal conductivity. These features guarantee high resistance to seawater corrosion, erosion, and stress-induced cracking.
