Copper Nickel Wire usually has 90% Copper and 10% Nickel (Cu-Ni 90/10) or 70% Copper and 30% Nickel (Cu-Ni 70/30) with trace levels of Iron and Manganese for increased strength and corrosion resistance. The wire has a tensile strength of 350–550 MPa and yield strength of about 150 MPa, with elongation of up to 30%. It has a density of about 8.9 g/cm³ and melting point between 1170°C and 1240°C. These characteristics provide superior seawater corrosion, biofouling, and thermal shock resistance, thus ideal for marine and industrial use.
