The Copper Nickel Screws are typically made up of 90/10 (90% Copper, 10% Nickel) or 70/30 (70% Copper, 30% Nickel) alloys. Iron (1.5–2.5%) and Manganese (0.5–1.0%) are usually added to these alloys to enhance mechanical properties and resistance to corrosion. They provide tensile strength of 275–500 MPa, yield strength of 105–150 MPa, and elongation of 30% to 45%. Copper Nickel alloys have a density of approximately 8.9 g/cm³ and a melting point of 1170°C to 1240°C. Such characteristics make Copper Nickel Screws suitable for high-stress and corrosive conditions, particularly in marine and chemical industries.
