Copper Nickel 90/10 Fittings consist of about 90% Copper and 10% Nickel with minor additions of Iron (up to 1.5%) and Manganese (up to 1.0%) to increase strength and resistance against corrosion. Copper Nickel 90/10 Fittings provide a tensile strength of 275–400 MPa, yield strength of 100–150 MPa, and elongation up to 40%. The density is approximately 8.9 g/cm³, and the melting point is between 1100°C and 1145°C. Cu-Ni 90/10 fittings have high resistance to seawater corrosion, erosion, and biofouling, and also good thermal conductivity and moderate electrical conductivity, so they are very suitable for harsh operating conditions.
