Copper Nickel Sheet and Plates are generally made of 90% Copper and 10% Nickel with minor additions of Iron (1.8%) and Manganese (1%) to provide better mechanical strength and resistance to corrosion. These alloys have tensile strength between 275–345 MPa and yield strength of about 105 MPa, with elongation of up to 30–40%. They are physically characterized by a density of 8.9 g/cm³ and a melting point of around 1100–1145°C. Their low electrical conductivity (10–12% IACS) and high thermal stability render them apt for use in seawater-exposed environments, high-pressure environments, and cyclic temperature environments.
