Chemical Composition, Mechanical and Physical Properties:
Hastelloy Check Valves, usually produced from grade C22, contain approximately 56% Nickel, 20–22.5% Chromium, 12.5–14.5% Molybdenum, 2–6% Iron, and 2.5–3.5% Tungsten, with minute traces of Cobalt (up to 2.5%) and Manganese (up to 0.5%). The valves offer tensile strength of approximately 690 MPa, yield strength of 283 MPa, and 45% elongation. Density is 8.69 g/cm³, and melting range is 1350°C to 1400°C. Hastelloy valves have good resistance to oxidizing and reducing agents, pitting, crevice corrosion, and retain mechanical strength under harsh chemical and thermal stresses.
