Hastelloy Ball Valves, which are usually produced from Hastelloy C-276 or C-22, have approximately 57% Nickel, 15–17% Molybdenum, 14.5–16.5% Chromium, 4–7% Iron, and 3–4.5% Tungsten. They also have traces of Cobalt (≤2.5%), Manganese, and Silicon. These valves have very good mechanical properties such as tensile strength of approximately 690 MPa and yield strength of 283 MPa. Their density is around 8.9 g/cm³, with a melting range of 1325–1370°C. Hastelloy valves offer excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking and are therefore best suited for extremely aggressive chemical and marine environments.
